(Blue Ribbon), Winners (Purple Ribbon), Best of Breed
Puppy (Turquoise), and Best of Opposite Sex (Red & White

Mister received First Prize (Blue Ribbon), Winners
(Purple Ribbon), Best of Winners (Blue & White Ribbon),
and Best of Breed (Purple and Gold Ribbon). This
show was held inside a metal/tin building for the toy
breed and the remaining breeds were shown outside.
It was in the mid 90's and was a miserable experience as
far as facilities go.

September
12 & 13th, 2009 - Biloxi, MS
Mister and
I had our first debut together at the Gulf Coast Classic
in Biloxi, MS this past weekend. This was my first
time showing and I was so very nervous but loved every
minute of it. I still have a whole lot to learn
but we can only get better (my man and I).
He was a
dream to show and I thank Lee Cook of Firebrook Poms for
giving me the opportunity to have such a beautiful, fun,
and loving boy to show. He is my dream come true.
I would also like to extend a much appreciated and warm
thank you to Mr. Malcolm E. Moore (Judge on Saturday,
September 12, 2009). Mister received First Prize
(Blue Ribbon), Winners (Purple Ribbon), Best of Winners
(Blue & White Ribbon), and Best of Breed (Purple and
Gold Ribbon). We had the honor of showing with
some very stiff competition in the Group Competition
(very exciting). I would also like to extend my
appreciation and a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Lee Canalizo (Judge on Sunday, September 13, 2009).
Mister received First Prize (Blue Ribbon), Winners
(Purple Ribbon), Best of Winners (Blue & White Ribbon),
and Best of Opposite Sex (Red & White Ribbon). We
had a superb weekend together. I would like to
thank Danielle for taking so many photographs of all the
beautiful dogs at this show along with Mister and I.
She did an excellent job. Yvonne, thank you for
being there for support...it was most appreciated.
Thank you to all of my dear friends who had faith and
confidence in Mister and I. We love you all !!!
Below are pictures that were taken before, during, and
after showing by Danielle.

THE END OF A VERY EXCITING WEEKEND
!

For those of you who are not
familiar with what the Ribbon colors mean: Each
dog that receives an award is given a ribbon by the
judge. The color of the ribbon indicates the type
of award the dog has won.
BLUE - awarded for first place in
any REGULAR class. Also awarded to the winner of
each GROUP competition, usually in the form of a
"rosette".
RED - awarded for second place in
each class. Also awarded for second place in each
GROUP competition, usually in the form of a "rosette".
YELLOW - awarded for third place
in each class. Also awarded for third place in
each GROUP competition, usually in the form of a
"rosette".
WHITE - awarded for fourth place
in each class. Also awarded for fourth place in
each GROUP competition, usually in the form of a
"rosette".
PURPLE - awarded to the winners of
the WINNERS DOG and WINNERS BITCH classes. Since
these are the classes in which championship points are
earned, these ribbons are highly coveted.
PURPLE and WHITE - awarded to the
RESERVE WINNERS, that is, the runners-up to the
winner of the WINNERS DOG AND WINNERS BITCH class.
BLUE and WHITE - awarded to the
dog that wins BEST of WINNERS, that is, the better of
the WINNERS DOG and WINNERS BITCH winners.
PURPLE and GOLD - awarded to the
dog judged "BEST of BREED" in each breed competition.
This is highly coveted because it allows advancement to
the GROUP competition.
RED and WHITE - awarded to the
BEST of OPPOSITE SEX. This mean the best dog of
the breed that is the opposite sex of the BEST of BREED
winner.
RED, WHITE and BLUE - only one of
these is awarded, at the end of each show. It is
given to the ultimate award winner, the BEST IN SHOW.
