"My Enchanted Poms are furry people"
~~News~~
4/20/09 - Haley has
went to her new forever home, thank you Donna & Doug. I know Haley
(Haley Bug/Booger
Butt)
will have a very, very happy life
with you all. She will be missed
and thought about daily as she was the
Queen of this house and remains the Queen in memory.
We love you so much Haley Bug!
4/18/09 -
Miss Athena has went to
her new loving, forever home. Thank you Seagee for making
Athena a part of your family! She is a "lover"! An early "Happy Mother's Day" to you!
4/9/09
- Miss Haley has been spayed and is recovering, she looks sooo sad.
2/14/09 -I am happy to announce that Little
Miss Demi is back to normal today 2-14-09.
2/13/09 - I took my little girl Demi to
the Vet today to get the last of her puppy shots
and she had a level one reaction to the injections
(Parvo & Rabies) about an hour after
the injections were given. I must say it scared
the tar out of me. The swelling started on top
of
her little muzzle and traveled completely around her little muzzle and
progressed upward
on her face. The swelling progressed rapidly. While
in transit to the Vet's office she vomited
in her crate. Once I got there they gave her a
combo shot of cortisone & antihistamine. When
we got home she then starting whining and it was
obvious that she was in great
discomfort
with the itching. Always keep some liquid
Children's Benadryl
on hand as I had to give her
1/2 of a child's dose (not to be repeated for 12
hours).
This is Sparky, he was our first Pom.
He is the reason I fell in love with this breed.
Please note that
he IS NOT part of my breeding program...he IS NOT AKC
standard and he has been
neutered. Mommy loves you, Sparky!
On my site, I will
introduce my business/hobby, highlight areas of
interest, and give you some important and helpful information on
raising, caring for, and living with a Pomeranian.
I will attempt to answer some of the
most common questions that I am asked about the health
concerns, feeding and grooming, and general care of a
Pomeranian.
This website is dedicated to a
very special little dog...the Pomeranian!! This breed
is very energetic and loyal to its owner. They are
perfectly content and comfortable to live in a small
apartment or in a large luxurious mansion. They just
want a comfy lap to snuggle up in when they are done
romping and playing at the end of the day.
All of my Poms are raised in our
home by my husband and I and they are treated like our
"children." We give everyone the same amount of
love and attention. I only breed to improve on
the quality (not quantity) of this breed and strive to
breed as close to the AKC breed standard as I possibly
can. Be assured that all of the information on
this site is either from first hand experience or from
some very experienced Pom breeders who have helped me
along the way.
I hope that you will find
something of interest on our site and that you will
decide to make an Enchanted Pom a member of your
family when one becomes available. I hope that you
will enjoy your visit and that you will tell your family
and friends about us, ask them to visit us too.
Please come back often to keep up-to-date on the new information that may be
available from our Enchanted Poms in Pensacola, FL
or you can call Linda at
(850) 324-6567!!
Sincerely,
Linda Hanssen
Please note: Whether you're looking
for a new puppy, a young adult that has been house broken,
or an older dog that has been trained, this article is a
must to read. Written by a very caring individual, the
words force one to think about owning a dog before
taking this first step. Copyright and author
information are noted at the end of the article.
Owning a dog is not
just owning another piece of furniture, or a toy like an
off-road motorbike, to be used when needed and then put
away as events in your life unfold differently. Owning
a dog is adding another member to your family.
This new member has
no fewer feelings than your own children, and although
they can not verbalize pain, suffering, anguish, or hurt
feelings, they most assuredly have them. Please
remember this when acquiring a new family member.
If you can read the
following article without tears coming to your eyes or
choking a bit or feeling something special for our four
legged family members , please don't acquire a dog...you
probably don't deserve one.
